1. Who We Are
This Privacy Policy is issued by the company operating the playte platform ("playte", "we", "us", or "our") — the online gaming platform accessible at playte.bet and serving Filipino players nationwide. playte operates under the PAGCOR regulatory framework and is required to comply with the Republic Act No. 10173, otherwise known as the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (DPA), and its Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) as administered by the National Privacy Commission (NPC) of the Philippines.
This Privacy Policy applies to all personal data we collect and process in connection with your use of the playte platform, including the website at playte.bet, any associated mobile applications, customer support interactions, and promotional activities. It governs the relationship between playte and any individual who visits, registers on, or otherwise interacts with the platform ("you", "your", or "Player").
By using the playte platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the collection and processing of your personal data as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the platform immediately.
2. Data We Collect
playte collects personal data that is necessary, adequate, and relevant to the specific purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy. We do not collect personal data beyond what is reasonably required to operate the platform, comply with legal obligations, and deliver a safe, fair gaming experience to our players.
The categories of personal data we collect are set out below:
Certain data we collect — particularly government ID numbers, financial account details, and KYC verification documents — is classified as Sensitive Personal Information under the Data Privacy Act of 2012. playte applies heightened security standards to all such data and processes it only where strictly necessary for legal compliance, KYC verification, and anti-money laundering obligations under Philippine law.
3. How We Collect Your Data
playte collects personal data through the following means:
- Direct registration: When you create a playte account, you provide your name, date of birth, contact details, and preferred payment method directly through the registration form.
- KYC verification submissions: When you submit identity documents, proof of address, or source-of-funds information in response to a verification request from our Compliance team.
- Deposit and withdrawal transactions: When you initiate or complete a financial transaction via GCash, Maya, BPI, BDO, UnionBank, 7-Eleven CLiQQ, USDT TRC20, or Coins.ph, your payment details and transaction metadata are recorded.
- Platform activity: Your game interactions, session data, wager history, and responsible gaming setting changes are automatically logged by our platform systems as you use the service.
- Support interactions: When you contact us via live chat, email, or any other channel, the content of your communications is recorded and stored.
- Cookies and tracking technologies: When you browse the playte website, cookies and similar technologies collect technical data about your device, browser, and on-site behavior. See Section 9 for full details.
- Third-party sources: In certain circumstances — such as fraud screening or AML checks — we may receive data about you from third-party identity verification providers, payment processors, or regulatory databases, strictly in compliance with applicable Philippine law.

Some of playte's third-party service providers — particularly game software providers and certain technical infrastructure partners — may process data outside the Philippines. Where such cross-border transfers occur, playte ensures that appropriate contractual safeguards are in place consistent with the requirements of the Data Privacy Act of 2012 and NPC guidelines, including data processing agreements that impose equivalent levels of protection to those required under Philippine law.
7. Data Retention
playte retains your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, to comply with legal obligations, and to resolve disputes. Once the applicable retention period has elapsed, your data will be securely deleted or irreversibly anonymized.

8. How We Protect Your Data
playte implements a comprehensive set of technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Our security framework is reviewed and updated regularly in line with industry best practices and NPC guidelines.
- Encryption in transit: All data transmitted between your device and the playte platform is encrypted using TLS 1.3 (Transport Layer Security). You can verify this via the padlock icon in your browser's address bar.
- Encryption at rest: All personal data stored in playte's databases — including KYC documents, financial records, and account credentials — is encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption.
- Access controls: Access to personal data within playte is restricted on a strict need-to-know basis. All staff with access to personal data are subject to confidentiality obligations and undergo regular data privacy training.
- Two-factor authentication: Players are encouraged to enable two-factor authentication (2FA) on their accounts. playte staff accounts with access to Player data are required to use 2FA without exception.
- Penetration testing: playte commissions regular third-party penetration tests and vulnerability assessments on its platform infrastructure.
- Data breach response: In the event of a personal data breach that poses a real risk of harm to affected Players, playte will notify the NPC within 72 hours of discovery and notify affected Players without undue delay, in accordance with NPC Circular 16-03.

10. Your Rights Under Philippine Law
As a data subject under the Data Privacy Act of 2012, you have the following rights with respect to your personal data held by playte. To exercise any of these rights, contact our Data Protection Officer at the details in Section 13.
11. Children's Privacy
playte's gaming services are strictly limited to individuals who are 21 years of age or older, consistent with PAGCOR regulations and Philippine gambling legislation. playte does not knowingly collect, process, or retain personal data from any person under the age of 21.
If playte discovers or is notified that a person under 21 years of age has provided personal data through the platform — whether through direct registration or otherwise — we will immediately delete all such data, permanently close the associated account, return any deposited funds to the originating payment account, and where required by law, refer the matter to the relevant regulatory or child protection authority. If you believe an underage individual has registered on playte, please notify our DPO immediately at the contact details in Section 13.
12. Updates to This Privacy Policy
playte may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our data practices, applicable Philippine law, NPC guidance, or PAGCOR regulatory requirements. The "Effective Date" at the top of this page will always reflect the date of the most recent revision.
Material changes — defined as changes that meaningfully affect your rights or the way we process your data — will be communicated to registered Players via the email address on file at least 7 days before they take effect. Non-material clarifications or typographical corrections may be published without prior notice.
Your continued use of the playte platform after any published update to this Privacy Policy constitutes your acknowledgment of the changes and your continued consent to data processing as described.
13. Contact Us & Data Protection Officer
playte has appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO) as required under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 and NPC regulations. The DPO is responsible for overseeing playte's data privacy compliance program and serving as your primary point of contact for all data privacy-related matters.
When contacting the DPO, please include your full registered name, your playte account username, a clear description of your request or concern, and any relevant reference numbers (e.g., transaction IDs for financial complaints). This will help us locate your records and respond efficiently.
playte aims to resolve all data privacy requests and complaints within 15 business days of receipt. Complex requests may require additional time — in such cases, we will notify you of the extended timeline within the initial 5-business-day acknowledgment window.
